The choir’s year runs from September to July during which time we aim to produce 3 concerts. There are additional activities which are open to all members.

We are looking to expand the choir with singers of any voice parts. All singers keen to take part are welcome.

Enrolment for the 2023-2024 season

Enrolment for the 2023-2024 season will be held at the start of our first rehearsal on Monday 11 September 2023 starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Wilkinson Room of the Church of St John the Evangelist, Hills Road.

If you are interested in joining us, you are welcome to come along and meet members of the choir, and join us in singing some introductory music as we begin rehearsing for our Christmas concert.

Details of how to enrol together with full information for the year and an enrolment form can be downloaded here:

Note that the Enrolment information is intended to supplement the choir’s Rules Document.

The subscription for 2023-2024 (Sept to July) is £220

How To Enrol
Enrolling in person

We would encourage all members to try and attend the first rehearsal on 11 September, although we accept enrolments during the first few weeks of the term by attending a rehearsal.

Music will be available to collect for existing members, with additional copies available for new members.

Please fill in an application form and bring it with you (extra forms will be available on the night).

Enrolment by post

If you are unable to make the enrolment evening for any reason, you may enrol by post. Simply fill in an enrolment form and post it to

Eleanor Pippard
80 Bishops Road
Trumpington
Cambridge
CB2 9NH

Application forms can be obtained from this page, the Membership Secretary (Eleanor Pippard) at the above address or via e-mail to membership@collegium.org.uk.

Please remember to provide payment details on the enrolment form, or enclose a cheque, made payable to Collegium Laureatum, to cover this year’s subscription.

New Members

New members are welcome to join the choir at any time in the first weeks of any term. We would encourage you to come to the first rehearsal where you can talk to current choir members about the choir. However, if you are unable to make it, you can also enrol by post (see above) or in person at a rehearsal.

If you are uncertain about joining the choir without a 'test run' or want to discuss any aspect of the choir, please contact the Membership Secretary.

Paying in instalments?

Subscriptions for the full year may optionally be paid in two instalments of £110. The first payment in early September, the second payment in early January.

Are you aged 35 or under?

Then you are eligible to join Collegium for only half the full subscription.

Gift Aid

As a registered charity, we can claim Gift Aim on eligible subscriptions and donations. We would therefore be very grateful if you are able to sign the Gift Aid form and return it with your subscription payment or hand it to the Membership Secretary at the next rehearsal.

The choir is open to anybody who is interested in singing. We do not hold auditions and rely on members ensuring that they know the works to be performed. Rehearsals are held every Monday during term time at The Wilkinson Room, St John’s Church, Hills Road. They start promptly at 7:30 p.m. and last for approximately 2 hours.

We generally allow people to enrol at the start of each term, the major enrolment being at the start of the choir’s year in September. Unfortunately once we are a several weeks into each term, we have to ask people to delay joining until the following term. If any part is full, we do operate a waiting list and allow people to join as places become available.

If you are interested in joining the choir, then please contact either Eleanor Pippard or Lorna Cox (01223-500373)
